Configuring the BLE mode in EntraPass for the SmartTap feature

In EntraPass, there are three BLE modes that affect how the SmartTap feature works in the go Pass app:
  • None: SmartTap does not work. You can see a list of doors in the Sites and Doors tab and can unlock any door remotely without BLE technology.
  • Hybrid: You can see the list of doors in the Sites and Doors tab and unlock BLE doors when your mobile device is near the reader. To unlock non-BLE doors, tap the door name. For BLE doors, SmartTap is enabled.
  • Strict: You only use SmartTap, and the Sites and Doors tab does not display a list of doors.
    • The app displays the nearest locked door as a red icon, which changes to green when unlocked.
    • If no door is in range, then a grey icon with a No doors in range message displays.

To change the BLE mode, complete the following steps:

1. in the EntraPass hattrix system, navigate to Account>Account menu>Menu.

2. From the Proximity restriction drop-down list, select the BLE mode.
