CONTROLLER - EDIT ADVANCED SETTINGS

1.      Click in the textbox at the top left corner and change the controller's name.

2.      Modify the Serial number. Usually, the number is found on the controller label. The field is defined to accept only numeric characters, except for the first character which may be an a or A. If a lower case character is entered, the system converts it to a capital letter.

3.      Select an EOL resistor type from the drop-down list. By default, this choice is set to None. This feature is used as a supervision device for all inputs. In fact, if this feature is enabled and if an input is disconnected, an alarm message is generated.

4.      Select a Map from the drop-down list.

5.      Select a Video view from the drop-down list.

Note:        The video view will only be activated if the video feature is enabled in EntraPass.

Reader

6.      From the Reader options group, select the Reader Type 1 from the drop-down list.

7.      Select the Reader Type 2 from the drop-down list.

KeyPad

8.      Select the Keypad Type from the drop-down list.

9.      Select the Escape Key from the drop-down list. This feature is associated with PIN numbers. When a user enters a wrong number, he/she may press the escape key and re-enter the PIN, without incrementing the number of attempts.

10.  Once your Controller configuration is complete, click Save or Cancel .
