If you selected a gateway, you cannot add a connection. Select a site to add a connection.

1 - In the Connections panel, click the Add button.

2 - In the Primary language field, enter a name for the connection.

3 - Optional: In the Secondary language field, enter a name in a different language.

4 - In the Connection information area, select the gateway type from the Gateway list.

5 - If you have a hattrix system, enter the zip or postal code in the Billing ZIP or postal code field.

6 - Select a time zone form the Time zone list.

7 - In the Connection type area, select the controller connection tab you want to connect. For each secure connection type, complete the following sections:

a - Communication

b - Gateway

c - Association

d - Additional information

e - Comments

For a direct connection, complete the following sections:

•  Communication

•  Association

•  Additional information

•  Comments

In the Communication section, complete the following steps for a secure connection:

1 - In the MAC address field, enter the MAC address of the controller.

2 - Select a baud rate from the Controller’s loop baud rate list, the default is 19200.

3 - Choose UDP or TCP from the Protocol field.

4 - In the Port field, enter the controller’s port number.

5 - In the IP configuration field, choose Static or DHCP. Select DHCP to obtain the IP address automatically. If you select Static, contact your system administrator for details to complete the following fields:

a - IP address

b - Subnet mask

c - Gateway (router)

d - DNS server

In the Communication section, complete the following steps for a direct connection:

1 - In the Communication port field, enter the controller’s port number.

2 - Select a baud rate from the Controller’s loop baud rate list, the default is 19200.

In the Gateway section, the default IP address is 172.16.254.1, if you want to change this, select the Override gateway IP address check box. Choose from the following options:

•  Select IP address, and enter the new address in the IP address field.

•  Select Domain name, and enter the domain name, click Test DNS to test the connection.

1 - In the Association area, select a graphic map from the Map list.

2 - Select a camera from the Camera/Video view list.

In the Additional information pane, enter information that may be useful for identifying the connection type.

In the Comments pane, enter information that may be useful for identifying the connection type.
