1 - In the Doors – Relays – Input column, select the Inputs check box.

2 - Select the input, and click Edit.

3 - In the Primary language field, enter a name for the door.

4 - Optional: In the Secondary language field, enter a name in a different language.

5 - In the Operating mode area, choose Closed or Opened in the Normal condition field to set the normal state of the input.

6 - In the Event message field, choose Alarm or Activation. When you configure event parameters with an input in alarm, or input activated, the system only displays the inputs corresponding to the criteria.

7 - Select a schedule from the Monitoring schedule list. This schedule specifies when the system supervises the condition of the input. When the schedule is valid, a change in an input condition generates an “input in alarm” or “input restore” event.

8 - Select the relay you want to activate from the Activate relay list.

9 - Select the Activate relay temporarily check box if you want to activate the relay according to the temporary activation parameters defined in the Edit relay window.

For each relay, complete the following sections:

•  Timing

•  Shunt

•  Association

•  Comments

1 - In the Loop response time area, enter a time in the Alarm response time field. This time is the delay before the system generates the input and alarm event.

2 - Enter a time in the Restore response time field. This time is the delay before the system generates the input restore events.

1 - In the Shunt area, select an input from the Shunt input list. This defines the enabled input that the system will not monitor.

2 - Select the Shunt input temporarily check box, when you want the system to ignore the input.

3 - Select the Reset delay for shunt temporarily check box, when you want to reset the delay on a temporary shunt. The Temporary shunt timer field must be set to invoke the delay.

4 - Enter a time in the Temporary shunt timer field, to specify the time when the system does not monitor the input. Setting the timer to 0:00:00 instructs the relay to follow the input state. The maximum value for the shunt timer is 18:12:15 for the KT-400 or the KTES.

1 - In the Association area, select a graphic map from the Map list.

2 - Select a camera from the Camera/Video view list.

In the Comments pane, enter information that may be useful for identifying the input.
