Access level

Access levels determine where and when a card is valid. The default access level is Always valid. Cardholders with Always valid access, have access to all doors at any time. To restrict access, you must create a specific access level, and configure door exceptions. To define an access level, select a door and assign a schedule and if appropriate, a floor group to it. Use the function Access Level to add, edit, duplicate, or delete an access level.

The top section of the Access Level tab contains the following field and buttons:

Selecting a component

Select a site from the Select a component list. The following items appear:

• Access levels view

• Doors view

• Search field

Access levels view

The access levels view displays a list of existing access levels. Select an access level, and in the right pane, view all doors assigned to that access level, and their corresponding schedule and floors group.

Adding an access level

1 - From the Select a component list, select a site.

2 - Click the Access levels view, and click the Add button. A table with a list of doors for that site appears.

3 - In the Primary language field, enter a name for the new access level.

4 - Optional: In the Secondary language field, enter a name in a different language.

5 - Select one of the doors. A Schedule Assign button appears, and if the site has more than one floor, the Floor group Assign button appears.

6 - Click the Schedule Assign button, and select a schedule from the list on the left pane. For elevator doors, click the Floor group assign button.

7 - View the right pane for schedule details, click Select, and Save.

8 - In the site table, blue rectangles indicate an assigned schedule. Hover the mouse over the blue rectangles to view schedule times.

9 - In the site table, select the door again, and click the Floor group Assign button.

10 - Select the floor group from the list, click Select, and Save.

11 - In the site table, a white square in the Floors column indicates an assigned floor group. Hover the mouse over the white square to view floor group.

Editing an access level or adding an additional door

1 - From the Select a component list, select a site.

2 - Click the Access levels view, and select an access level from the list.

3 - Click the Edit button. A table with a list of doors for that site appears.

4 - Repeat steps 5 to 11 in Adding an access level task.

Duplicating an access level

1 - From the Select a component list, select a site.

2 - Click the Access levels view, and select an access level from the list.

3 - Click the Duplicate button. The Duplicate access level tab appears.

4 - In the Primary language field, enter a name for the new access level.

5 - Optional: In the Secondary language field, enter a name in a different language. Click Save.

Deleting an access level

1 - From the Select a component list, select a site.

2 - Click the Access levels view, and select an access level from the list.

3 - Click Delete. A message appears asking Do you want to delete this access level? Click Delete again to confirm the deletion.

Doors view

The doors view displays a list of existing doors and elevators. Select a door or elevator and in the right pane, view all access levels assigned to that door, and their corresponding schedule and floors group.

Editing Access level schedules and floors

1 - Select a site from the Select a component list.

2 - Click the Doors view, and select a door from the door list. All access levels assigned to that door, and their corresponding schedule display. If appropriate, their floors group display.

3 - Select a schedule from the Schedule list of the access level you want to change.

4 - Select a floor group from the Floors list of the access level you want to change. Click Save.
